I am deadly proud and happy about this album.
It marks my entry into the digital recording process.
Breathing the musical air of the mid 70´s, spiced up with a grain of 80´s and 90´s,
I brought all of this into the 21 century, by using the sound of guitars and voices in many forms.
You might ask why it took me so long (three years) to make it. Well, I wanted to make an album
that had some sort of wholeness to it. But halfway through, I realized it was taking a new
unsuspected direction that sounded so fresch and intriguing - I basically found myself throwing
away a lot of songs just to follow this new path.
Thus, the music has gotten heavier, the lyrics more thought out and more me.
First song written and recorded for the album was "Penthouse", the last - "Yellow Sky".

The Life of a Housewife (1997)

Pop soap-opera, written and recorded February - April 1997.

Lead vocals, back up vocals and all instruments by Nad Sylvan.
Lead and back up vocals by Jade.Ell and Jeanette Olsson.
Written, arranged and produced by Nad Sylvan.

Thomas, also known as "Mirella" and "the housewife" tragically killed himself jumping before
the tube in January 1997. He and I formed the infamous "Housewife Choir" together with
"The Countess" and "Missis Green" in December 1992. We went on television that same month.
I conducted these three "queens", me looking like an old gray haired hag, whereas the other three
were the most outrageous divas. No one could hardly sing at all, let alone hit the right note or stick to
the rhythm. But what did it matter, we had a great time!

The death of Thomas triggered me to write this pathetic little story about The Life of a Housewife.
A typical suburban woman with her husband and two kids.
First song written and recorded for the album was "Everybody Loves That Man", the last - "Happy Widow".
This album is dedicated to Thomas Blomqvist 1960-1997.
